First off, I just want to come right out and say thank you for always being there. From letting me laugh to understanding when I need to cry, you have seen it all. I have never had a more understanding support system. Yes, it is hard to truly stand back up because you are so low to the ground, but the way you have my back is impeccable. You know when it is pizza time, and you understand when finishing the movie just isn't a possibility. You are welcoming to those who visit. You even don't mind when strange humans sleep on you for extended periods of time. Your covers may wrinkle and bunch up, but I think it is part of what makes you, you! When I sit down to begin my vegetation of the day, I feel great pleasure in knowing you have been waiting for me to come back to my spot. True, we have a rule that we cannot get horizontal on you unless we are for sure not going out, but that's because we know you will put us right to sleep with your supreme comfort. You have seen me through break ups, make-ups, and a whole lot of wine nights. You've lived in not one home, but four different homes. You have seen the world and you know your rightful spot is in the Fe9 Penthouse. As I type this now, I am laying on you wondering how I got so lucky. You are the star of every gathering with folks piling themselves on you, giggling in pride for nabbing a spot. You make this house a home. You've been pushed and stepped on and always maintain your perfect form. I know some day that we won't be together. When I graduate and move, my parents have decided we will finally get rid of you. I hate to imagine those last days. I will most likely shed tears knowing that one of my best friends will no longer be in my life. I can only hope that your future will bring joy, love, and most importantly comfort. I want to see you move to a new home where you can live peacefully like you do now. I pray that your new owners will respect you and give you the attention that you deserve. Who knows, maybe they will also give you a face-lift? From blue and white stripes to red, you can pull off any look no doubt. Perhaps they will don you with neon zebra print or metallic chevrons...but let's hope they don't. You get what life is about, big guy. You know when it is time to throw in the towel and let a girl wallow in self-pity. You also know when it is time to binge watch "Making a Murderer" with your best pals...again. You are more than just a sofa, you have the ability to know that I need a nap before I do. My 27 minutes naps are no match for your skills. I feel more refreshed than ever before when I am done with you. I am blessed to sit here and let you hold me. I am honored to have found a friend who is so supportive and comfortable every single moment. Thank you for always letting me live out my dream of being Loonette or Molly with you. Here's to you, couch. May you live to see many more backsides!
