Why We Should All Want A Jim Halpert

Because he's as close to perfect as it gets.

If you’ve ever watched "The Office," then you know exactly what I’m talking about. Jim Halpert is the epitome of the perfect man, and for so many reasons I could write a novel on just that. But I will spare you the time and just name a few reasons why anyone would be lucky to have a Jim in his or her life.

He’s hilarious.

Everyone wants someone that’s funny, and Jim is just that. He’s not the try-hard funny, making a joke out of everything, which is great. He is effortlessly funny and just so charming you can’t help but laugh at everything he says. Whether it’s his sarcastic comments and pranks to Dwight or just his jokes that he always does when he wants to see Pam smile, he is absolutely hilarious and never fails to make us all laugh.

He loves with everything in him.

If you’re a fan of the show like me, you know how difficult it was to watch Pam with Roy and overlooking Jim. It was quite possibly one of the most heartbreaking things. But it made it so much more worth it when he finally got her (Spoiler alert… but let’s be real, if you didn’t already know that you had to have been living under a rock.) The point is, he never stopped pursuing her and he stayed doing the same things it took to get her after he had her, which is very admirable I must say.

He’s respectful.

With that being said, he never overstepped his boundaries when he knew Pam was taken. He sat back and loved her from afar, focusing on their friendship instead. Obviously, he finally had to put his feelings on the line at some point, but he was patient about doing so because love is patient after all. Even though Jim may have entertained the thought of someone else in the process, he knew all along that Pam was his person. Jim has so much respect for Pam and I think we can all agree that’s what makes him such a great man.

He is attractive, but not in the “stop on the street and stare” kind of way.

OK, now hear me out. Jim is most definitely an attractive male specimen. I’m by no means saying he isn’t. But he’s no Channing Tatum. What I mean by that is that he isn’t the guy with the ripped six-pack abs and perfect bone structure. He is just the right amount of attractive to catch your eye, and have you wondering what on Earth it is about him that is so appealing. And I’ll tell you, that is the best kind of guy, the guy that is attractive but doesn’t know it. And that is Jim Talbert to a tee.

He’s the ideal father.

When Jim found out that he was going to be a dad, his reaction was nothing short of priceless. You could see the excitement written all over his face, and seeing how happy he was about being a father just proved how great of a dad he was going to be. Not only that but the way he loves Pam will let his children know that real love is out there because their parents have it.

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.

There are a lot of foods in this world, but there is only one dish that stands above the rest: Pizza. If you're close to me or at least know who I am, then you know that I'm totally obsessed with pizza. It's one of my favorite things to eat and I will NEVER turn down a slice, even if it doesn't have my favorite toppings. There isn't a day that goes by where I'm not thinking about pizza. I even sleep with a pizza pillow every night! There are many reasons why pizza stands above all other foods, and here are just a couple reasons why.
