Many of you know this is the name of a hymn and is a very popular saying today, but do you really know what it mean?
There is a really awesome version of this song from Bethel but the original hymn was written by Horatio G. Spafford. He endured so many trials in his life. First his son died from pneumonia, and then most of his business was lost in a fire. The business was able to be built back up, but his four daughters died in a shipwreck. Mr. Spafford then got on the next boat to go get his wife, who remained safe, and wrote "It Is Well" while traveling.

So yes this is a nice quote to put on things and hang on walls, but do we really know what it means? This man who wrote this song when through so much and still trusted in the Lord. He said through all of this his soul was WELL. I love the end of this hymn that talks about His coming. I cannot wait for that day!! I know that any struggle I am going through right now doesn't compare with what is to come. He is alive and it is truly well with my soul! Come quickly Lord Jesus!
