The 25 Most Undeniably Awkward Moments

You can’t deny it… it happens to us all. Whether it’s accidental or inevitable, awkward moments seem to be apart of our daily lives. They are funny when they aren’t happening to you but when you are the center of attention you just want to die of embarrassment.

1. When you and another person reach for the same thing.

2. When you are singing in the car and then someone changes the radio station.

3. When you are walking right towards someone and you both move in the same direction.

4. When you are talking to someone but when you turn around they aren’t there anymore.

5. When the ticket collector at the movies tells you to enjoy your movie and you say “you too!”

6. When someone coughs and you say “bless you.”

7. When you ask someone the same question they just asked you out of habit. “Hey, how are you?” “Good, how are you?” “Good, you?”

8. When you see someone and wave but they never see you.

9. When you stare into space but actually staring right at someone.

10. When you STILL don’t understand what someone has asked after the third time and finally just smile and nod your head.

11. When you are walking in the same direction as someone you kind-of know but not really.

12. When you are in the middle of class and something some-what funny is now hilarious because you are trying to suppress your laughter.

13. When you walk straight into a door that says “Pull.”

14. When the person in front of you is walking extremely slow and you have to slow down to a snails pace or pull a Daytona 500 and speed around them.

15. When someone you’ve met before comes up and starts talking to you but you cannot remember their name for the life of you.

16. When you are walking in a group and the sidewalk becomes narrow and you awkwardly have to walk behind.

17. When you are walking right towards someone and you pull out your phone to avoid eye contact.

18. When you hold the door open for someone and they take forever and don’t even say thank you.

19. When you are trying to be really quiet but end up being extremely loud.

20. When your laptop decides it wants to have a dance party in the middle of class.

21. When your class is taking a test and your stomach decides to let out a loud grumble.

22. When you text the person you were actually texting about.

23. When you walk into the wrong classroom.

24. When you are Snapchatting in public and someone catches you.

25. When you are creeping on someone’s social media and accidentally like a picture from 30 weeks ago.

I wish I had some magical words of wisdom that I could tell you to save you from these disastrous moments, but unfortunately I don’t. Just know you’re not alone; it happens to the best of us. May the awkward odds ever be in your favor.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
