Clarkston, MI is a small town full of wonderful restaurants, one high school, and less than 1,000 friendly residents. If you've been to a concert at DTE (or as most of us call it, Pine Knob), then you've been to Clarkston. Though Clarkston may not be the biggest tourist destination, it was a pretty great place to grown up. Here are a few signs you that you know you're from Clarkston, MI.

1. DTE/Pine Knob is your go-to summer and winter hang out (but to some of us it’ll always be Pine Knob)

Whether you're rocking out to a concert or skiing the slopes, Pine Knob is one of the greatest hang outs Clarkston has to offer.

2. You had Gregg’s cater your graduation party/other events

A get together in Clarkston is never complete without some delicious Gregg's breadsticks (including the cheese dip of course).

3.You took homecoming and prom photos at Depot Park

The day of the dance didn't feel complete without meeting up with your friends and taking the typical gazebo photo.

4. You could never go out without seeing someone you knew

You're probably pretty pro at small talk after constantly running into your friend's uncle or mom's best friend while running random errands around town.

5. You disliked Lake Orion simply for no other reason than being told to not like them

You knew that any sports game between the Wolves and Dragons was going to be pretty intense.

6. You walked to Dairy Dream after your last day of 6th grade

You celebrated school ending and summer starting by walking to Dairy Dream and having a shaving cream fight with your fellow awkward peers.

7. You spent almost every Friday night at the football games

Football games were the social event of the week, and were the best way to spend time with friends while also supporting the football team.

8. You loved going to dinner at the Woodshop or The Union

These restaurants are two of the most popular spots in Clarkston, and you couldn't help but feel some hometown pride when they were featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives".

9.You spent a lot of summer days at Deer Lake

Nothing used to beat spending those hot summer days tubing, jet skiing, swimming, or boating with your friends!

10. You spent every Fourth of July at the parade on Main Street and then at the fireworks at Clintonwood Park

Clarkston's traditions are pretty special, and Fourth of July was no exception. Waking up early to catch candy on the curbs of Main Street was definitely worth it, and so was staying up late and dealing with the crazy traffic after the fireworks at Clintonwood.

11. You complained a lot of the time about how small and sometimes boring Clarkston is, but you were happy to call it home.

Clarkston may have seemed too small at times while growing up, but it's a pretty special place to come back to and to simply call home.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
