Welcome To The Suite Life Of 406
Hannah Gough

You thought living with one roommate was hard? Try living with three of them. The dorm that we live in is Beasley and Beasley is a sweet style dorm. Suite style rooms are two rooms separated by a bathroom. Last year when I purposed the idea of super suiting (which is having all four beds in one room and having the other room as a hangout area) to my best friends, Rachele, Taylor, and Nissa, they all thought I was nuts. They didn’t think this was going to work, but they went along with the idea and here we are today, and we haven’t killed each other yet (thank God).

Moving all four of us into our suite on the fourth floor was quite the challenge. We not only had to carry all of our belongings up four flights of stairs, but we had to move one set of beds into our bedroom, and a couch (Praise the Lord Jesus for our fathers). After we got all settled into our new room (which took FOREVER), the fun began.

You would never realize how many problems you may run into when you’re living in one room with three other girls. You have to downsize on all of your stuff, you have to make sure all of your stuff is off the floor so there is room to move around, our shower times conflicted, everyone has different bedtimes, and sometimes, we just don’t want to confront each other about it (which causes problems in the long run). Getting ready in the morning is quite the challenge. There’s four of us trying to use the one mirror to do our makeup, we have wires that are tangled because of our straighteners, and we all argue about what music we are going to listen to. In fact, mornings in the suite of 406 are very entertaining. Luckily, we finally have a routine to where everybody knows everybody’s schedules and we don’t conflict with each other as much.

Life in the suite of 406 can be very exciting as well. We get not only one room, but we get two rooms to live in. Living with my best friends is like having a sleepover every night. It’s so nice at the end of the day to come back and see all three of my friends and talk about our days. We’ve had so many amazing memories in our little sweet. One time, Nissa’s fish died after three days of having it in the dorm and we had a huge fish funeral for it. Almost every night we all lay in our own beds and just talk with each other and laugh until we all fall asleep. Another time we ordered a pizza and got Creator Delights and had a suite dinner. One of our favorite things to do is pile on one bed with each other and just lay there. These are moments that I cherish.

I honestly don’t know where I would be without my roommates. I would be lost without Taylor’s consent love and advice, Nissa’s attitude and hilarious comments, and Rachele’s crazy moods and her hugs. We’ve all seen each other at our best times, and our worst times, and you know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way. Who would have thought that my crazy idea of living altogether would somehow end up being a huge blessing?

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
