In need of some Vitamin SEA? Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina is a small coastal town that will help remedy your ocean deficiency.
Where to stay:
Hotel wise, you need to do your research to see what fits your needs and budget. The Blockade Runner is a famous one and it’s centrally located. There are also rental houses scattered throughout the town.
What to do:
THE BEACH! Go early in the morning to claim your spot…especially on the weekends.
If you get a little too much sun, you can spend an afternoon strolling Lumina Station. Here you'll find small boutiques, a cute coffee shop, and a french cuisine restaurant. Craving Cold Stone or want to see the latest film? Stop by the shops at Mayfaire Towncenter!
Or spend the evening playing mini golf or laser tag at Jungle Rapids; it’s cheesy and tacky, but a whole lot of fun!
What to see:
Venture in to downtown Wilmington and see the famous battleship! Downtown is especially cool at night! Or you could see the latest blooms at Airlie Gardens.
Where to eat:
Breakfast/Brunch: Causeway Cafe
It's old fashioned. In fact, the restaurant just celebrated its 30th anniversary. There's a reason why you have to wait a while to get into the cafe on weekend mornings.
Lunch: Dockside or Trolley Stop Hot Sogs
Dockside restaurant has also been around for ages. It's situated right on the dock so you can expect the freshest catch of the day! And nothing says summer more than a grilled hot dog with mustard and ketchup!
Dinner: Oceanic or Bluewater Grill
Oceanic is known for its starter basket of hush puppies. You'll be entertained by watching the surfers on the beach while enjoying the finest of seafood. Or enjoy the live music and the views of the sound at Bluewater Grill!
Dessert: Boombalitis Ice Cream
Four Words: four mini scoop sampler…you can get four small scoops of their amazing flavors. My person favorite is the Mocha Oreo.
