With the semester quickly approaching an end, we all anticipate the dreaded finals week. Regardless of the students being ready or not , the finals are inevitable. Some of us get lucky enough that we get exempted , most of us don't have that pleasure. Well while we all are stressed out and studying for finals we all need some me time to relax. Always make sure you have some personal time while studying for or during the finals week. With personal time I mean where you do nothing that relates to studying. Something to get your mind off of all the craziness of school. Following are few of the things that I do to get my mind off of craziness of school. Now, I'm not suggesting go out and do all these things at once, or all in one day. There are merely suggestions for when you have your assignments done and studies completed and you need a break from it, to refresh your brain.

1. Listening to Music: although this can be done while you are studying, but it all depends on what type of music you listen to. Music can be distracting at times, I would recommend listening to classical music if you are trying to increase your focus. When you need a break, of course, listen to any type of your favorite music.

2. Watching Television: by watching television I mean one episode of a show of your choice. By no means, I'm saying binge watch the entire series of Gilmore Girls in one sitting (that would take few days it is 7 seasons after all).

3. Shopping: for some reason, I get excited about shopping, getting new things and fun stuff makes me forget about the stress of the finals. Go out and buy yourself a new outfit, or something for your place, or even something for your loved ones I mean it is the season, right?

4. Coffee with a friend: I always enjoy my time with my friends especially if its over a cup of coffee. Catching up with friends is always amazing, learning about the amazing stuff is happening in their lives, about their new goals, while tell them about yours, basically catching up with the good, bad and the ugly of each other's lives.

5. Movies: watching a movie at home or going to the movies always a perfect break I need. Same goes for the movies, do not I repeat DO NOT binge watch movies on Netflix, while preparing for exams, that is totally counterproductive. You can binge watch all you want after finals are over.

These are just a few things that I do when I need a break from the craziness of school, especially finals. Of course, studying comes first, but we all need a break every now and then. Always keep your priorities in check, with that being said good luck everyone on your finals! Comment below and let me know how you relax or take a break while getting ready for your finals.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
