Week 3 NFL Fantasy Cheat Sheet

Week 3 of Fantasy Football is upon us, and as the league and the star players start to paint a picture of how the fantasy season is gonna look like by the end of the year, starts/sits become easier to analyze.
Here are some of the better starts/sits, sneaky sleepers for the week 3 matches:

Waiver Wire Pick up of the Week:

New York Giants Defense. Facing: Washington Redskins Offense

After a manic defensive overhaul during the offseason, this New York defense seems to start showing an imposing identity. They want to beat teams with a great pass rush and force them to test a very talented secondary. This week they host a very mediocre Redskins offense with an erratic Kirk Cousins at the helm. Expect this pass rush to apply consistent pressure on this Redskins offensive line, forcing mistakes from Cousins.

Sleeper Pick of the Week:

Brandon McManus, K Denver Broncos. Facing: Cincinnati Bengals

McManus shows a lot of upside this week, as the Broncos travel to Cincinnati, in what is expected to be a close, low scoring affair. The Temple graduate hit 4 out of 5 field goals in last week's victory over the Colts, including a 43yd attempt, recording an impressive 14 fantasy points.

Start:
Dak Prescott, QB Dallas Cowboys. Facing: Chicago Bears Defense

A fantastic matchup for the rookie passer this week, coming off a 17 point performance at Washington. This Sunday, a depleted Bears defense; who gave 16 points to Osweiler and 12 to Wentz (though Ryan Matthews vultured those TDs), travels to Jerry world like lambs for slaughter. Expect Prescott to continue the development of his relationship with Dez Bryant who will be targeted often in this game. It is also important to consider Prescott's rushing ability as he has had a rushing touchdown in Week 2.

Melvin Gordon, RB San Diego Chargers. Facing: Indianapolis Colts Defense

Gordon's glorious comeback season continues as he travels to Indianapolis to face a porous Indy defense (understatement). The Chargers rb has combined for 34 points in the past two weeks against two defenses with a little more pedigree than this middling outfit. Add to this Gordon's underrated catching ability and, barring injury, this is a home run start for week 3.

Sit:

Jimmy Graham, TE Seattle Seahawks. Facing: San Francisco 49ers defense

Continuing with what seems like a tradition at this point, the Tight End position remains top heavy and a metaphorical barren wasteland this season. With 4 catches and 5 points between two games, Graham has not found his place in this offense. Whether his absence is due to injury or just an excluding gameplan, it is safe to say Graham has not lived up to the big-ticket-free-agent tag he brought with him from New Orleans. With no indication of this situation changing, a San Francisco defense on the rise, and an injured Russell Wilson, this should be an easy sit for your team.

Sammy Watkins, WR Buffalo Bills. Facing: Arizona Cardinals Defense

After firing Greg Roman due to a surprisingly underwhelming performance on offense, the Bills have a dismal week 3 outlook hosting a rabid Arizona defense. With a more run-oriented offensive mind looming in the distance, expect the Clemson product to have an even more reduced role in the offense. Watkins has been disappointing to say the least this season, and the fact that he's been dragging lower body injuries isn't helping. More importantly though, he was listed as a game-time decision by coach Ryan during the week.

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement. Before that day, I never really thought about being a friend to myself, and at the time, I didn't really know what it meant. Now, I realize that you can't fully be there for other people unless you're there for yourself, too. You can't show up for others until you're willing to show up for yourself.

Here are five things everyone should learn in order to be a better friend to themselves. These steps are hard, but they're so worth it.
