Whether You Voted Yes For Weed Or Not, People Are Still Going To Do It

Think about it this way, weed has been around for hundreds of years being smoked or consumed in one way or another. Weed, unlike most other drugs, is a natural substance if grown and picked and not laced with anything.

Whether you call it weed, kush, marijuana, mary jane, pot, grass, ganja, dope, herb, cannabis, reefer, buds, stinkweed, nuggets, chronic, 420, tobacco, hay, robe, gangster, skunk, boom, blaze, doobey, ashes, block, boo, broccoli, burrito, or burnie, it is still going to be around.

Over the past 21 years of my life I have been around said substance for about 80% of my life and no I am not a regular user of it, or even a user of it at all. It just pops up around me and its not something I have ever personally had an issue with.

What people do is their own business and what people don't do is also their own business so regardless of if it is done or not shouldn't affect you or anyone else you care about. Life is going to happen around us and I don't have time to care about what others are doing when they have free time.

The stigma that comes along with the idea of weed is not necessarily a good one, of course smoking weed is going to increase your hunger, alter your mind/vision/taste/audio, give you some red eyes, a dry mouth, disorientation and a slower reaction time BUT that is not the only thing it is.

For years people I know personally have used said substance to help them along in their life whether it be for depression, anxiety, sleeping disorders, muscle spasms, chronic pain, epilepsy, cancer, seizures, tremors, PTSD, and strokes. This drug, though illegal, has been legalized medicinally and is another reason why its always going to be around.

There have been so many cases of people within the United States that have been arrested, gotten tickets, or be sentenced to life in prison simply because they had some sort of weed on them. People, weed is NOT black tar heroin. Unlike most other drugs marijuana has many health benefits previously stated and yes it can be addictive regardless of what people think it is far less harmful to the earth and to people in general.

Government officials, police, SWAT and everyone else in between have been taught that this drug is bad and that we need to get rid of it immediately but the reality of it all is that it is not going away any time soon. Regardless of your viewpoint and if you decided yes weed is good or no weed is bad the stuff isn't going to just disappear into thin air because it's not legal.

So, if you wanna smoke a doobey and get high as fuck, go for it. If you'd rather just get high off life and breath in some fresh air, great. Just don't expect everyone to have the same view as you all the time and respect others opinion because regardless it's gonna happen and people are going to do it.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
