"And once the storm is over you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you wont be the same person who walked in." -Haruki Murakami
We all have obstacles in life that we've had to face. Whether it be a death in the family or even something as trivial as a bad grade or anything in between. It's how we handle these situations that really show character. You can choose to give up or you can choose to fight. I have personally chose to fight. I refuse to let the the things of this world destroy me because I know there is so much more to life.
When a storm rolls in it can feel as though your world is ending, but it's not. If you choose to fight and turn to God, He will get you through anything and everything. Sometimes you just have to bow your head, say a prayer, and weather the storm.
You can't do it alone... and you shouldn't have to. I've tried to fix things by myself countless times, but all that ever does is make a bigger mess. Flesh may fail, but He doesn't. You have to learn to trust in God. Matthew 11:28 says, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." How cool is that? All you have to do is ask and He will provide what you need.
Jesus walked on water and He calmed the storm, so what makes you think the storms in our lives are any different? He is right by your side guiding you through, you just have to have faith. Sometimes He will calm your storm, but sometimes He will let it continue to rage on to show you that He will take care of you.
In the midst of a storm, God is working. He is healing. He is protecting. He is listening. He is delivering.
Never give up.
Choose to weather the storm.
Trust God.
His love NEVER fails.
"There's a place at the end of the storm you finally find where the hurt and the tears and the pain all fall behind. you open up your eyes and up ahead there's a big sun shining. Right then and there you realize you'll be alright." // Danny Gokey
