What To Wear For The Olympics

USA! USA! USA!

What To Wear For The Olympics

Every four years, the Olympics begin again, and, amid the fireworks and spectacle of the opening ceremonies, we all settle in for two weeks in front of our televisions to be amazed. As the gold-medal count rises, so does the American patriotism in the hearts of citizens across the country and the world, including this writer. Don't find yourself lacking the apparel to proclaim the fact that you're "American AF" to all you come in contact with. And bonus: You'll definitely be able to re-wear these to theme parties all year long.

1. Classic torch

This classic T-shirt is designed by Polo Ralph Lauren, the same designer that chooses the outfits that Team USA wears to walk in the opening ceremonies.

2. Blockin' out the ~haters~

Or maybe you're the pun master of your friend group and would prefer this tank? Find it here.

3. For the sports anti-fan

Props for being honest with yourself and your allegiances.

Find it here.

4. Cursive flag enthusiast

Unfortunately, it's not being sold anymore, but maybe a fun DIY project to do while watching some of the slower sports (sorry, @golfers).

5. Simple and straightforward

In a comfy, worn-in fabric, too. Buy this classic here.

6. Rushmore $quad

What I wouldn't give to be in this group text; wearing this tank top is the next best thing, though.

7. Coffee & Freedom

What's better than free coffee? Oh, right, freedom of speech and all the other freedoms... Buy here.

8. LOVEly outline

So you won't forget what the States look like from outer space. Check out these beauties here.

9. Beachy baseball tee

The Olympics may be in August, but this is a shirt you'll have to wear in the air conditioning...or save for the fall.

10. Pop-culture reference your parents won't understand

Maybe don't wear this around older relatives or you'll find yourself explaining it over and over. Buy it here.

11. Party animal

The three most cherished American values? Check it out.

12. Babe Lincoln, am I right?

Who wouldn't want to get down with former president and hat fashionista Abe Lincoln? The spirit of the 4th of July can live all year long, if you try hard enough. Check it out.

So, there you have it, your end-of-the-summer, back-to-school shopping list. Happy watching and cheering!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
