"Perhaps you have figured it out by now, but little girls don't stay little forever. They grow into strong women that return to destroy your world." - Kyle Stephens
Dear Larry Nassar,
I am an 18 year old, young woman who has been watching your sentencing, listening intently and brokenhearted to the words spoken in regards to you from all of your brave victims, and I have been hating every single fiber of your being.
What you have done, for 20 years, in your sexual abuse and molestation of so many young girls and women is disgusting and awful. It is heinous in every way, shape, and form that you could look at it. You are a repulsive creature, who is in no way, a human being.
The decision made for you to have to sit and listen to the impact statements, is a huge justice done in itself, aside from the knowledge that you will never see another child as long as you live. The brave women who have spoken out against you, are getting what they have deserved in all of this - for their voices to be heard. Your abuse of your position of trust and power took away their voices. It gave them deeper issues than just that dislocated hip or ankle sprain that you were supposed to be treating them for. It took away the innocence of children, who just wanted to get better.
Then the news of your six page complaint during your sentencing surfaced. You claimed that it was "mental cruelty" for you to have to listen to your sex abuse victims statements and that judge Aquilina was running a, "...media circus," in doing so. Frankly, I for a fact, couldn't care less what you have to say, because the, "mental cruelty" that all of the young victims have suffered at your expense, is what is important, not you.
Every girl who has come forward, with bravery and the need for justice is what is important. Again, not you. Your idea that anyone would show you any sympathy, is arrogant and ridiculous - as if you didn't already know that. Because when you are accused and suspected of sexual abuse of over 140 girls and women, no one gives a shit about what you think you deserve.
Larry Nassar, you are facing a lifetime of prison. I hope that has sunken in for you. I hope you realize that what you have done has left scars on the mental health of so many young women who have to face what you've done to them every single day. I hope you pray for forgiveness.
You will never forget what you have done, and that is the most important victory here. These women are finally getting the justice they so badly have wanted and deserve. Everyone knows what you have done, and no one will forgive you. Not the women who have suffered because of you, not the parents who were helpless in the midst of the abuse of their children, no one.
On January 31st, I will be waiting patiently for your final sentencing, just as everyone else will be. Your victims, their families, those who have grown to be disgusted by you upon learning what you've done - justice will in the end be served.
I, and no one else, will forgive you, Larry Nassar.
Sincerely,
Everyone.
