We Were Like Sisters

Losing friends hurts....a lot.

We Were Like Sisters

Some days are harder than others. You realize someone you once knew so well is now a complete stranger. You act cordial in front of people, but behind closed doors you do not know what would happen. It sucks. The one person you thought would be by your side has abandoned you because of jealousy. We were like sisters. You do not understand it and all it causes you is grief and crying, lots of crying. So much crying that I feel as though there is not tears enough tears left in my body, but still your supposed friend sits there stone-faced and stone-cold. We were like sisters, They are not who you once thought they were. The promise of planning weddings together and children and love and laughter all gone with the click of a keyboard. You can move on and act like everything is okay, but you forgot about the person you used to call sister standing behind you with arms held wide. We were like sisters. You gripe and complain about everything, but never do anything to change it. You sit on the couch with your alcohol to numb the pain. How did this happen to us? Why our friendship? Why could I have not left good enough alone. It's painful. It hurts is worse than losing your one true love. Best friend, what does that even mean anymore? We were like sisters. Apparently it means nothing to you and according to you our friendship was "toxic" but you did nothing to help grow and change that. You try and put the blame on me, as I reached out time and time again, but it is not on me not anymore it is on you my darling. You made petty posts on pages you knew I would see and thus pressing the knife and twisting it into my back. How could you? Why would you? We were like sisters. You said as we tralloped through the woods swapping secrets as we went. We were inseparable and invincible, we had each other and that is all we needed. Two little girls in their field of wildflowers. You shattered that, no you ripped my heart out, stomped on it, and as an added bonus flung spit at anyone who would listen. We were like sisters. You victimized yourself, never once asking me about my mental health. We were like sisters. We were joined at the hip and never apart. Our moms could not even tell our voices apart, but you cut the cord never worrying about the mess you left behind. We were sisters.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

(For Girls Who Are Interested In Greek Life)

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
