A hateful individual came into our community with intentions to divide us. Ultimately, he only made us closer, as one. Charleston is a city built on love and respect, and that motto is instilled in us all. Hate will not sink a city that loves.
Near or far, we are one. Whether you are praying from Charleston, from out west, from up North, or from across seas, we are one. No matter our ethnicity, we are one. Not matter our color, we have come together as one to support the victims, their families, this city, and the community in this time of need.
No matter our political opinions, we are one. No matter our religion, we are one. Putting our personal religious beliefs aside, we have all come together as one, hand in hand, to pray for Charleston.
Charleston welcomes all individuals with open arms. Locals will be the first to hold open a door for you and wish you a blessed day, all done with such genuineness. The Holy City that is built on love and faith, preaches respect and devotion, and refuses to accept hatred.
I have always been proud to live in Charleston, but I have never felt more honored, than now, to call Charleston my home. I love Charleston because we are one. No matter how different each individual may be, we have all come together as one. #charlestonstrong.
