We Have Officially Pissed Mother Nature Off

Maybe it's time we start listening to her.

We have had a record number of storms and natural disasters this year, and I (in my limited twenty-four years of existence) cannot seem to recollect a time where we had more crazy crap happen in such a short amount of time than this one. We have had extensive wildfires, hurricanes, and earthquakes. And while I am not so naive to believe that every single natural disaster is a completely direct result of global warming, I cannot take these things as mere coincidence. I mean our Earth is literally telling us right now that something has happened; something is wrong. Could we try to fix this problem now? Is it too late? I don't know, I am not a scientist. But these things are adding up in such large numbers here that I am finding it hard to believe that people still deny that Global Warming is real.

And to make matters worse, we literally have a guy in office right now that doesn't believe it! Scientists who spend their lives studying this could hit him over the head with research here and it would amount to nothing! His pretentious ignorance further propagates the blatant ignorance that there are consequences to our actions and that these consequences are real, and they are dangerous.

I am literally begging you here, if you don't believe in Global Warming, please, please, please second guess this notion. Please do reputable research and look at scientific studies. We have not been good to our planet. And with this current trend in politics, it is only going to get worse. Please act now. Don't sit there with your head in the sand. Realize that Global Warming was a factor in the storms and natural disasters this year. I have included some links that I found helpful below. Take them as you will, and do your own research. Listen to scientists, please. They know what they are talking about. They aren't just saying this stuff for attention. This is a serious issue.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
