The Patriots Ruin The Fun in Football

A great team, but just stop already.

The Patriots Ruin The Fun in Football

(WARNING: I am an Eagles fan, and this will probably sound biased).

Dear Friends,

Football has begun and things are already going wrong. Players are getting injured left and right, teams are losing by 43 points or more, and the Dolphins just suck. There's nothing really shocking about that last statement, but can we just take a moment of silence for this team? RIP to Miami man.

Anyways, I would like to talk about the Patriots today because who doesn't love the Patriots? Oh, wait.

Literally any fan of any other NFL team.

Don't get me wrong, the Patriots are a talented team. Tom Brady is an overly talented quarterback, the offense is insane, and all that crap. They won 6 Super Bowls, tying up with the Pittsburgh Steelers for most Super Bowl wins.

Over the past couple of years, there has been this formation of hatred toward the New England Patriots. There was the whole Deflate-Gate issue a few years back. There was the issue with Robert Kraft (still lol). There was the issue with them supposedly cheating with the refs of the game. There's the thing where they just keep going to the Super Bowl every damn year. There's ALSO this thing where they picked up AB who is accused of raping a woman and was nowhere to be found after his debut against the Dolphins (RIP) in week 2.

Things are just super fishy when it comes to this team.

Do they cheat? I don't know. Are they annoying to watch for anyone that isn't a Patriots fan? Yes. Are they actually a good team? Absolutely.

Listen, I am an Eagles fan as stated in the warning above. I hate the Patriots. I hate watching them and I hate seeing anything Patriots related. They annoy the crap out of me. It was the best feeling in the WORLD when we beat them in the Super-Bowl 2 years ago. Though I hate the Patriots with all my might, I cannot just ignore the fact that they are indeed a talented team. I hate saying that, but it is true. THERE ARE STILL TIMES WHERE THEY DEFINITELY CHEAT OR SOMETHING BECAUSE BILL BELICHICK IS SKETCHY.

Woo, that felt good to say.

I have mixed feelings about this team. I probably shouldn't be writing this article, but what can ya do?

Overall though, this team just sucks the fun out of football for every other NFL fan that hates them. They killed the Dolphins in Week 2 and they put the Steelers to shame in Week 1. They play the Jets in Week 3 and I have a feeling they'll win that too. It's safe to say that probably every football fan who isn't a fan of the Patriots, hates watching them and hates hearing about them winning all the time. They suck the fun out of football. That's just my opinion though.

To all you Patriots fans out there, I am sure you are great people, but a lot of people will probably trash talk you because of who your favorite team is. Don't say that you have 6 Super Bowls or that you have the goat at QB because no one wants to hear that crap. Trust me.

Well, I hope you all enjoyed this article. Make sure to check out my other previous articles, and I will see you all next time with a new topic of discussion. GO BIRDS!

Your Friend,

Al

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
