We need to quit acting like this is the greatest country on the planet and start being the greatest country on the planet. Everyone wants to blame someone else. We need to take responsibility.
As Americans, we have "freedom of speech." Fighting words are against the law, though. Fighting words are anything said that could make someone upset. With that being said, people need to stop spreading their opinions.
As an American, you can hate anyone. You could hate every ethnicity. That doesn't mean you have to tell everyone about it. That doesn't mean you have to always argue with someone. Just keep it to yourself. This country is going down the wrong road. I'm scared for this country. I think we need to stop and think these people are still people. At the end of the day, they go home to a family or friends who love them.
I don't agree with every thing cops do, but I respect them. I will never talk about a cop in a negative way. Unless he was proven dirty, he is a good cop. These cops aren't trying to start all these publicity. They are protecting your neighborhood, city, themselves and other cops. Cops aren't going to shoot someone because they want to shoot someone. Listen to what the cop says. If you are pulled over, listen to what they say. A cop walking up to a car is going to have adrenaline and nerves running through their bodies. Just think if you were in their situation.
The whole country feels unsafe right now. We shouldn't feel that way. Cops are going to work without knowing if someone is going to shoot them for no reason, and they won't be able to go home. It's a risk of the job, but right now is worse. Five cops being shot down in Dallas is stupid. I understand someone may feel mistreated, but that doesn't mean you attack your own people. We are a country, and we are united. I'm not saying not to have an opinion, that is a God-given right, but just keep the peace and quiet off the United States of America. I'm afraid, at this rate, it will just be keep getting worse. We need to stop now. Let's work toward being the greatest country in the world again, instead of leading our country to another Civil War.
