There is nothing more comforting than having a best friend.
I know there are some people who say they have a lot of best friends; I know I do. But there is always the one, ultimate friend you’d trust your life with. The best friend you can communicate with just by making eye contact. The best friend you can stay on the phone with until one in the morning talking about nothing but memes with. The best friend who is willing to get in a fight with worldstar style with anyone that hurts you. The best friend that you love above all.
Whether it’s threatening your significant other to treat you right or listening to you cry about drama that will blow over in a day, a best friend is always there for you.
I met my best friend my first day of college. We both moved in early, and we ended up sitting together by accident. We bonded over a hatred for Donald Trump and our friendship began. Since then, we’ve been inseparable. Throughout everything that has changed in my life since I moved into school, she has been my rock, the one constant thing.
We all need a best friend like that. We all need a best friend that makes you happy, even when you’re not together. My best friend has listened to my cry and complain and rant, and vice versa.
It’s important to have someone you can count on, and someone you can bond with over anything. I know that without my best friend, I’d be a lot more lonely and a lot less happy.
