1. Plan, Plan, Plan
Nothing’s worse than leaving assignments for the last minute and stressing out over something that could’ve been easily fixed. Planning seems very simple, however, it's imperative to know when certain exams and deadlines are, so this will eliminate your stress. Making sure you have a calendar or keep track of your deadlines on your phone will let you know what to expect of the days or weeks ahead of time.
2. Take a Freakin' Break
If you’re writing a paper, or can’t solve a problem after hours of staring at the page, the best thing to do if you're feeling frustrated and stressed is to walk away. Do something to take your mind off your work for a while, sometimes this helps spark more creativity or will make you feel re-energized
3. Sleep, Please
Despite your college experiences of writing a research paper in one night, you’ll be able to get more done with a good night’s sleep and by not procrastinating. The more you stay up and procrastinate, the more you won’t remember the material and won’t give your best effort on an assignment. Make time to sleep!
4. Review Material
Studying for a cumulative final exam can be stressful, but going over old quizzes, midterms and papers can help you if you start to review ahead of time. This also will be helpful because you won't make any mistakes or get the same answers wrong.
5. Get Your Priorities Straight
Feeling overwhelmed is normal towards the end of the semester, but if you prioritize what you must do you'll feel less overwhelmed and stressed. Prioritize the classes that yu haven't done so well in, and focus on studying those classes more than the classes you've done exceptionally good in. Get your priorities straight when it comes to wanting to party and go out, and needing to finish an assignment by 12pm on a Friday night.
