7 Ways To Make The Most Of Your 2020 Winter If You Live In The Poconos

The fall and winter time in the Poconos is a beautiful thing everyone should experience. The mountains provide a breathtaking view and the fall colors can enlighten the spirit of even the worst case of the winter blues. The activities that are available in the Poconos range from fun for the kids as well as the parents.

1. Skiing, Snowboarding, or Snow tubing

Not everyone is down to hit the slopes, and that's why I included snow tubing. Skiing and snowboarding are fun to learn and I recommend trying at least one- who knows, you might find a new hobby! There are plenty of places to do any of these- including my favorite, Blue Mountain.

2. Indoor Water Parks

Indoor water parks are a fun time for the whole family. At Camelback resort, the indoor water park is great for the whole family because it includes many fun rides and places for the kids to play and a bar for the adults to relax at. They also have a large hot tub that is half indoors and half outdoors!

3. Ice Skating

If you're looking for something to do with your significant other- ice skating is a great idea! If you're a beginner, you'll have to rely on your partner to catch you when you fall! Tobyhanna State Park is a great place to ice skate.

4. Paintball

If you're up for some challenges- Skirmish Paintball offers a fun time in the snow! Put on some extra cushioning for the snow and paint balls!

5. Roller skating

Roller skating is a great way to be active, listen to some good tunes and have fun! Whether you're with a group or partner, roller skating can be enjoyable whenever and with whoever. Big Wheel is a popular roller skating rink in the Stroudsburg area.

6. A Trip Back in Time At Quiet Valley

Quiet Valley is a fun and educational trip for everyone. The actors at the living historical farm dress and act like colonial people and teach the visors what life was like back in the day.

7. Indoor Go-Karts

Indoor Go-karting at S&S Speedway is the way to go if you're bored on a weekend night! All family members can get a kick out of racing and then the video arcade and pool tables are an added bonus!

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
