Top 6 Ways to increase Facebook likes

Every business needs to have an online presence. It is no secret that a sizeable chunk of the population does their shopping online. Hence, taking your business online puts you in a better position to compete favorably with similar companies. To make this work, you need to have a solid strategy.

First, you need to choose the platforms you want your business to appear on wisely. Make sure Facebook is one of them. After opening a Facebook page, the next step should be to get likes and followers. Here are some easy hacks that will help you get more fans on your page.

1. Get people to comment and get back to them

Encouraging people to leave a comment on your posts is an excellent way of gaining exposure. This is because after people comment on a page, their remarks and your post appear on their timeline and their friends get to see that activity.

Make sure you give feedback to the comments by answering questions asked, acknowledging different opinions, or simply thanking them for their positive comments.

2. Purchase Facebook likes

As a business person, you would rather use your time in more productive activities in order to maximize profit. One way to save on time is by buying Facebook likes. By so doing, you are left with time on your hands, which you can spend on other income-generating activities.

3. Break the monotony of words

While words are a great way of conveying your message, you need to get out of your comfort zone and share authentic videos and images too. These will help increase the rate of engagement on your page and may translate into new likes in the long run.

4. Offer promotions and discounts

Brands that give discounts and promotions are likely to attract more followers than those that do not. And after your fans discover that you are giving discounts, they will most likely pass the news to their friends. Or even better, they may share the promotions on their timeline and get more people to like your page.

5. Stay up to date

Only post recent content. For example, don't share news of occurrences that have already passed, people might have seen it already. Also, when there's something that is trending, twist it to suit your business and post it on your page.

However, avoid controversial topics like religion and politics as this can hurt your brand's image.

6. Reduce competition from other social platforms

Settle for at most three platforms and capitalize on them to increase your customer base. By so doing, you avoid overwhelming the customers by giving them too many platforms to choose from. You are also able to focus all your attention on the selected platforms.

To gain the number of followers you are hoping for, you need to be accountable and stay focused. This will help you have better engagement on your page and can help increase your profits over time.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that.
