Motivation works like a sine wave; there are definite moments of almost to no motivation and peaks of having a lot. As of lately, I've been feeling as though I am losing motivation. It could be because of the cold winter weather making life dark by 4' o clock or just the pressure of so many little things that can't really be described.
I believe that moments like these are completely normal. We need moments where we are feeling down to understand the blessing to being happy and motivated. It is just the hard fact that it is so hard to get back up once feeling so unmotivated. So in what ways can we help ourselves get up and find that?
1. Talk to your family or friends- It is always nice to hear another person's voice rather than your own little voice in your head telling you everything wrong about yourself.
2. Stop being lazy- Being unmotivated mentally will lead to your body being physically tired.
3. Smile- Try and smile whenever. Even if it is a fake smile. It sounds pretty cheesy, but you want to fake out your brain that you are happy.
4. Go outside- Exercising or just seeing the natural beauty of Earth could spark ideas and just make realization of the time we have in such a beautiful place.
5. Watch a movie- Movies are great. They help keep your mind off things and may also help conjure more ideas.
6. Write- Have something you could write your feelings or ideas on, whether it be a notebook or on your phone. Having something that has no judgement is great in getting that motivation back.
7. Do it- Once the gears have started turning again. Don't let your words just sit there. Start doing what you love and start going after what you believe in.
These are just little tips and I hope they help out. Now, they obviously won't solve every problem, but it should help to some extent. Remember that it is always natural to peak and fall. Know when you are falling and start getting back up. You hear that a lot, but there's a reason why you hear it a lot. It is because it works for most people. Have a great one. I hope this helped.
