We all know the feeling when you've got two weeks left of school, but you need two months for the amount of work you still have to do. It can feel overwhelming--and that's okay. It is perfectly normal to be overwhelmed by this. We need to stop denying the fact that yes--college can be a good time, but it is also really hard sometimes (especially during finals). Here are a few things you can do to de-stress during this upcoming finals season:

1. Find your playlist

My personal fav is called "Your Favorite Coffeehouse" on spotify

2. Download a meditation app

I really like one called "headspace"

3.  Go to the gym

It's proven to reduce anxiety

4. Clean your room on your study break

There's nothing more relaxing that coming home to a clean room

5. Remind yourself that it's only a test/paper

Ten years from now, you won't even remember it

6.  Go to Starbucks to study for a change of scenery

And treat yo self to a fancy Christmas drink

7. Take a hot shower

And use this time to focus on nothing

8. Remind yourself that this will all be worth it one day

Because hard work always pays off

9. Plan something to look forward to for when finals are over

It's easier to work hard when you're working toward something specific

10.  Take a deep breath

Because it's going to be okay

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
