The Standing Rock Sioux tribe has opposed the Dakota Access Pipeline since first learning about plans for the pipeline in 2014. Unfortunately, it has only been in recent months that the issue has gained national attention, as thousands of protesters have gathered in North Dakota in an attempt to block the 1,200-mile project.
There are countless people who have taken to social media to take action with the hashtag #NoDAPL.
So what are ways that you can show support to the #NoDAPL? Here are some things:
1. Morton county sheriffs are using FB to target organizers at Standing Rock to break the protectors' camps. We have been asked: EVERYONE, check yourself in at Standing Rock to flood it. Here's a concrete solidarity action you can take. Please spread the word.
2. The protestors need supplies. Here is some of the supplies that they need and the actions that you need to take to help with this.
3. Sign the petition to the White House.
4. You can donate.
5. Call the people in power:
You can call the people who have the ability to do something.
A. Jack Dalrymple, Governor of North Dakota: 701-328-2200
B. Army Corps of Engineers (demand to reverse the permit): 202-761-5903
C. The executives at Energy Transfer Partners, the company building the pipeline.

This is going to be history one day. People will be looking back at this event and will either be proud with how the Pipeline was stopped or will be ashamed that nothing happened. We have the ability to determine what is going to unfold.
