We all loved to be loved! Love can come from so many places: friends, lovers, parents, siblings. This Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, but do not fret. Even if you won't be receiving love this year, you can always give. So, whether you'll be cuddling with a lover, or rocking it with a friend, this list is full of things friends and lovers, alike, can do!
1. Visit your local animal shelter.
I'm not telling you that you have to adopt a pet, but even just seeing these babies will give you a new outlook on life. The animals enjoy seeing fresh faces, too.
2. Help out at, or donate to, your local soup kitchen.
Please, don't be afraid to call and ask if they could use some help because spoiler alert, they can use the help.
3. Go to your favorite park and/or natural environment, and pick up trash.
The Earth needs love too, which is something we often forget. Nothing is more love-filled than giving back to your home.
4. Visit your grandparents.
You probably don't see them as much as you'd like, so what better day to show them some love!
5. Make a care package for a homeless person.
\
Spread the love to those who sometimes lose the "people" identity in "homeless people."
P.S. Add tampons or other sanitary products for women.
6. Pay it forward.
If you happen to drive through Starbucks or McDonald's, pay for the person's food behind you. This act of love is almost guaranteed to be continued.
7. Donate blood.
Find your closest blood donation center, and spread your love in a way that is muchneeded.
8. Simply, smile at everyone you see.
We underestimate the power of a smile. The fact is that we never know what strangers are going through, and a smile could help them out along the way.
I hope you enjoyed this list of ways to spread the love that can even be extended to any day or holiday! There is always a shortage of good in this world, and I hope you choose the most love-filled day to help out.
