Similar to this past fall and last spring, denim is all the rage. With the weather slowly but surely warming up, now is the time to sport jean jackets, skirt, or whatever you're feeling.
Here are 5 ways to jump on the denim trend this spring:
1. Jean Jacket
Personally, I wear my jean jacket more frequently than any other clothing piece. They are so versatile and can be casual, or a little bit dressier. A jean jacket, leggings, comfortable top, and a cute pair of sneakers is the perfect "going to class" look in my opinion. Need something a little dressier? Try throwing your jean jacket over a sundress with sandals for a different look!
2. Jean Skirt
Jean skirts definitely made a comeback last spring, and they're here to stay! With Blue and White weekend coming up at Penn State, jean skirts are a fashionable yet comfortable option if you're tired of always wear denim shorts or jeans to tailgates. If it's a chillier day, they also look great with an oversized sweater and a pair of slip-on sneakers like the popular Vans or Steve Madden's.
3. Black Denim
Who said all denim had to be blue? Black jeans have been growing in popularity and will certainly be around this spring as well. Black ripped jeans are one of my personal staple pieces because they can be dressed up for a night out or paired with a more casual top for an everyday look. They're also the perfect bottoms to wear with a jean jacket if you're trying out the trendy denim with denim look but don't want to wear blue from head to toe!
4. Chambray
Chambray is an often forgotten about variation on the classic jean fabric we all know and love. It also tends to look a little bit more put together and dressier and will be a win for any kind of spring or summer event this year. Also, it's usually a bit more lightweight, which is always a plus during the warm spring and summer months. Try pairing a chambray top with white jeans for a different take on "denim on denim!"
5. Cropped Flare Jeans
These fun and unique jeans have been growing in popularity over the past few months. This is also another piece that can be dressed up or dressed down depending on how you style them. Cropped jeans are definitely the way to go once the weather gets warmer, so why not try out a fun, new style? There are even some really fun ones out there with tassels and fringe at the bottom!
Denim always has been and always will be a staple fashion piece, and finding new ways to wear this classic can spice up your day-to-day outfits!
