If finals week isn't already hard enough, COVID is making things even harder. Stress is a given with the end of the semester, so try these five tips to help you relax after you finish your finals.

1. Have a relaxing movie night

Put on your favorite movies, pop some popcorn, and relax. Don't worry about any school work, finals, or anything because they are over! Be lazy for a night and watch a ton of movies and binge eat all you want. You could even try to watch Christmas classics to get in the Christmas mood, like "The Grinch" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".

2. Have a family game night

To unwind, play a bunch of games with your family members! This is a COVID-friendly activity and helps decrease stress levels. Line up all your family's favorite games and play them all! You could also make some appetizers or order in food and have a fun relaxing night. Play games like Scrabble, Clue, or a card game.

3. Read a book

Decrease your stress level and let your brain relax with a good book. Either read one of your favorite books that you've already read or read one you have always wanted to! Just relax and take your time, whether it is a short or a long book. Even if you don't finish it, that is fine too! Take a break from reality and get sucked into a good book.

4. Go have dinner with friends

Cook in or go have a night out with your friends to have a good meal and tell some jokes. Don't think about your last semester; just relax! Friends always make everything better. If you aren't physically close or if COVID prevents that, get a Zoom or a FaceTime to talk!

5. Take a nap or meditate

Sleep is something that most students don't get the luxury of during finals. So, take a nap and get your body rested back up! A 15-20 minute nap can do more than you think. This small nap can rejuvenate your mind and your body. If you don't like naps, then you could always take 15-20 minutes to meditate.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.
