6 Little Ways People Say That They Truly Care

When you care about someone, it may not always be easy to articulate just how much you do care about that person. However, there are lots of little ways to show how much you care about that person when you struggle to say how much you care.

If anyone in your life consistently does any of the following, odds are they truly care about you.

1. "Text me when you get there safe."

Those who care about you also care about your safety; this means wanting to be positive that no matter where you are going, you get there safely. This may also mean that they will get pretty worried when you do not let t hem know that you got there safely. Worrying about you is a sign of caring about.

2. "This made me think of you."

Whether it is hearing a song from an artist or genre that you enjoy, seeing a product that you would likely use or hearing a phrase that sounds like something that you would say, when someone lets you know that something made them think of you in your absence is generally a good sign. Not only are you on that person’s mind, but different objects, sights or sounds remind that person of you; this means that someone know so much about you and cares so much about you that they have associated other things with you.

3. Randomly (or maybe not-so-randomly) checking in on you.

When you care about someone, you want to know how they are doing and how they are feeling. This is especially true when someone knows you have been having a rough day or have not been feeling well, so those who care about you will often make it a point to check in on you and see how you are. When you care about a person, you will often want to care for that person, part of which includes wanting to know how that person is feeling.

4. Remembering even the small details about you.

From mentioning what type of cookie is your favorite, to disclosing information about yourself that is rather personal and is not often shared with other people, when someone cares about you they often make an effort to remember the details that make you the unique that person you are. As aforementioned, when you care about a person, you want to care for that person; in order to care for a person, you normally need to know that person. Thus, when someone makes a concerted effort to remember those details that make you the person you are, that is a sign that the person cares both for you and about you.

5. Making sure they get to spend time with you.

Everyone has schedules and time commitments that can sometimes make spending time with other people difficult. Those who truly care about you will make sure that they get to see you, even if it means rearranging their schedule. Although people may not be able to do this often, doing this at all shows a great deal about the importance that they place on being able to spend time with you.

6. Doing something they do not typically enjoy doing because they know that you enjoy doing it.

Although you may not always share the same hobbies and interests as those around you, those who care about you will be willing to try things they typically would not enjoy or even try because they know that you enjoy them. From watching movies they hate, to trying food they’ve never cared to try, those who care about you may surprise you in all that they are willing to do for and with you.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
