1: Drink the coffee from the plane
- If you are a BIG coffee drinker like me, then you will appreciate any FREE cup of joe!
- Now, I am NOT big on airplane food, however fresh fruit is ALWAYS good for your soul REGARDLESS of where it came from
- Ok, well logically speaking anyway
2: Stock up on the leftovers from the snack baskets & from the first class meals
- Now, I am NOT big on airplane food, however fresh fruit is ALWAYS good for your soul REGARDLESS of where it came from
3: Stock up on creamer & tea from the hotels & if you're desperate or really in a tight spot the hotel lotion & shower gels
- I only say this because once again if you’re addicted to caffeine like me, you’ll always want more!
- Plus, the hotel most of the time, has a variety of teas and flavored cream. Not just that half/half stuff
4: Avoid bad quick snacks like chips & cookies
- Yes, they are easier to get your hands on, however, those calories and sugars will add up before you know it
- Buy some protein powder to use in your water or milk to get through the day or to
- This is of course only if you are staying with family or friends
- Shuttle service is free and some provide transportation to other locations besides the airport watch what you're eating
5: Do NOT unpack everything once you get to the hotel, if you over pack like me
6: Find other people who stay in crash pads that provide shuttles to nearby places like the grocery stores or restaurants to help cut back on Uber/Lyft expenses
7: Create you a budget & stick to it
8: If you can’t make it home that night sleep in the crew room & take the first thing flying in the a.m.
9: Keep a personal drink bottle to fill up for free at "RE-FILL" stations throughout the airports
10: Buy a portion container to help store food like cereal or oatmeal...anything in a "powder" stage that will help feed your body
