9 Ways Your Girl Friends Make The Best Boyfriends
We Heart It

Finding a good group of girl friends isn't easy. Sometimes, there's just too much drama. However, when you find the right group of gal pals, you'll find that they're hard to stay away from. In many ways, you'll find that your girl friends complete you more than any guy could. Don't get me wrong- boyfriends have their moments. But sometimes, girl friends outshine the men in our lives. Here are nine ways your girl friends make the best boyfriends:

1. They are always boosting your confidence.

No one is prouder to call you theirs than your best friend. The comments your girlfriends leave on your Instagram photos actually have people convinced you’re all in love with each other.

2. They know everything about you.

I mean everything. From your Dunkin order to your drunken pet peeves, your girl friends know you like a book.

3. They are honest.

Sometimes boys will just tell you what you want to hear, even if it isn’t the truth. Your gal pals have no problem telling you how you really look in that crop top. They want you to look and feel your absolute best.

4. But they will never judge you.

At times, boys will make you feel judged in certain situations. On the other hand, your girl friends will never think twice when you show up to dinner in sweatpants, down your food in seconds and let out a big belch when you’re done. With your girlies, you’re comfortable being your complete self.

5. They have no problem playing “Mom” for the night.

A night out with your boyfriend is a hell of a lot different than a night out with your girl friends. After having one too many drinks, your boyfriend will lose his patience with you and become angry. But your best girl friend knows just how to get you under control without ruining anyone’s night.

6. They are your own personal photographers.

If you use Instagram correctly, the right post takes several tries before it makes the final cut. I think it’s the unspoken truth that guys are horrible at operating an iPhone camera. Somehow, every photo will come out blurry. They just don’t know the right angles and lighting. But, your best girl friend never fails to create a full-blown photo shoot so that you get the right photo. And they are your guaranteed first “like”.

7. They let you vent.

Most of the time, boys just don’t get it. They don’t always know what to say. Your girls are always there as your shoulder to cry on. But they also give you the harsh reality that sometimes you need to hear. It’s like having Dr. Phil on speed dial.

8. They watch all the TV shows that your boyfriend refuses to sit through.

Mondays are reserved for "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," not football. Your girl friends acquire a taste in television that your boyfriend cannot tolerate. From "Gossip Girl" to Grey’s, your girl friends make the best companions to Netflix and chill with.

9. They are forever.

Until you find the right one, boys are temporary. And, for the most part, they are all terrified of commitment. However, there is nothing better than planning out the rest of your life with your best girl friends. You’ve already discussed topics like the names of your future children, to the centerpieces at your wedding and where you want to end up in life. While a lot of things in this life are temporary, you can rest assured knowing that your best girl friends are forever.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
