A dorm room can't be painted, can't be remodeled, and, unfortunately, you usually can't bring your own bed. But fear not! There are other creative ways to make your dorm room feel more creative and homey. Check out these awesome door decorations that college kids made.

Boo! This super easy Halloween-themed door is scary enough to be festive, but cute enough to take lots of pictures with. Just make sure you have lots of spare toilet paper, and a little construction paper.

A little sass on your door is never a bad thing. Also, who doesn't like Pixar movies? This is super easy to make with a little drawing talent for the fish, and some paper for the words.

Sometimes, you can be sweet and tangy. For those of us who aren't big fans of Valentine's Day, this may be how we celebrate the holiday. It's still hilarious regardless of your intentions, and not too difficult to make. Although, cutting up the hearts will probably get kind of tedious after a while.

The minion craze follows us all the way to a college campus, but this door isn't too hard to make. All you need is some construction paper, scissors, and a writing utensil. Hopefully your RA won't think you're a villain.

This is probably for the more advanced dorm door decorator, but still really cool! Find yourself some starry wrapping paper, and then some construction paper for the rest! Maybe get a stencil off the internet to help you with those details you may not be able to recreate perfectly.

This is pretty basic, and easy for any dorm door (as long as it's white). If it's not, you can always use white construction paper for the base. I'm sure you'd like to draw an Olaf on your door instead, but not all of us have the talent to do that.

Short, sweet, and to the point.

Paint chips on paint chips on paint chips. It may be tedious to put together, but it looks amazing and very colorful! Home Depot may be concerned with the amount of paint chips you're taking though. You should probably go with a buddy.

Gobble gobble. Thanksgiving gets grazed over so much during the fall/winter festivities, but these people decided to celebrate turkey season at their dorm. Very simple design if you know how to use scissors and glue.

This is how you decorate Time Lord style. Be prepared, because a lot of people will probably be taking pictures in front of your Tardis, including your RA!

It doesn't take a whole lot of skill to decorate your door, so take some time this semester to get your creative juices flowing. You're only at college for a few years, and then when will you get the chance to do these kinds of things?

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
