HBO's "Game of Thrones" is one of the most captivating and heart wrenching shows on TV. People always say "don't get attached to anyone in Game of Thrones," and you'd be very wise to listen to that advice. Since the show is so much different that any other on TV, there comes different means of processing the show.
Here are the 19 stages of watching "Game of Thrones," as told by Robb Stark.
1. When you first start watching the show, and think it's going to be a great idea.
At this point, all of your friends have raved about the show, and you're serious about getting into it. You think you've found some quality entertainment about some cool and interesting characters.
2. You realize that it's a bit more intense than you thought it would be.
You start to wonder what you've truly gotten yourself into.
3. You get over the intensity because it's just so good.
The show starts picking up, and you realize you've hit the gold mine of television.
4.You basically become a Stark.
The Stark sigil is now your sigil.
5. When a character you love dies for the first time.
You shed tears for the first time, and realize it won't be the last.
6. You keep watching anyways because there's a trillion other characters and you can't give up on them now.
Even though your favorite person is dead, you're basically a Stark, so you know you must move on. You're too invested at this point to give up now, because it's not like Cersei Lannister ever would.
7. You decide that you could do a better job ruling than any of them, so basically you should sit on the Iron Throne.
Everything is crazy at this point, and everyone is making horrible or shady decisions. You think to yourself, "Westeros would be a better place if I were there."
8. Someone else dies, and you take what you said before back, because you obviously don't want to be part of this game.
You realize that that's a horrible idea, because in Game of Thrones, Valar Morghulis.
9. You can't decide if you even like any of the characters.
Everyone is going crazy, and you can't even decide if you even like any of them.
10. Figuring out you like some of them, even though they're all really shady.
You realize that behind the shade, there actually is some good intention behind some of these people.
11. But then you finally decided that you like someone, and then they die.
And then you cry again...
12. You think things can't get worse, and then someone does something shady again.
Things have escalated so far past the point you thought they could, and all you can do is look angry at your TV.
13. You realize that you might have a problem because you've been watching the show for 6 hours straight.
This is the "If you don't hear from me, I'm watching 'Game of Thrones' stage, where you realize that these stages have happened all in the course of 6 hours.
14. You watch another episode, because it's very clear now that things can get worse.
The whole reason that you've been watching for 6 hours straight.
15. You get annoyed because something bad happens, but it's made to seem good.
You keep watching (maybe you've taken a break for a day at this point, maybe not, we may never know,) and things get so twisted that people are doing horrible things and they always get away with it.
16. Trying to convince yourself that you're fine.
You'r so invested at this point, that you try and convince yourself that everything is fine, and you're fine too.
17. Cuddling with your dog because you're not actually fine.
You say "screw it," and grab your dog because you need the emotional support.
18. Realizing that you've spent 67 hours of your life watching this show.
You get all caught up with the show, and you realize that 6 hours turned into 67 hours. Have you been watching for years? Months? Days? You don't even try and figure it out at this point.
19. Regretting absolutely none of it.
You absolutely can't regret anything, because it's obviously the best show you've ever seen.
