Ever Think of Watching Your Childhood Favorite as an Adult? Well I did.

I've invested two months rewatching Roseanne and I have no regrets.

Do you remember all the shows you watched when you were younger? I know I for sure don’t, partly because 7-year-old me had the attention span of a fly and also because she didn’t have 60 pages of reading and an essay to write. Of all the shows I watched, the most memorable to me was "Roseanne". "Roseanne" was a sitcom that aired from 1988 to 1997 and revolved around matriarch, Roseanne, and her family of 4. The show hilariously tackled tough topics such as financial hardship, sex, death, marriage, and plenty more. Among its many wins, the most notable was for a Golden Globe in 1993.

Thanks to Amazon Prime I’ve been reintroduced to the series and fallen in love with it all over again. I’m currently on season 7 of 9, and I’ve concluded that Roseanne was an unapologetic bad ass. She ruled her home with an iron fist, never allowing anyone to order her around. Young me was introduced to feminism at a young age, and for that, I am forever grateful.

The reboot of "Roseanne" is scheduled to air 2018 and the best way to describe my excitement is with a GIF of Roseanne and her husband Dan doing a jig:

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
