When I am home with my parents, I spend the weekends sleeping in. One of the biggest reasons for me to get out of bed at, what according to my parents is, a "reasonable time" is to catch the end of "Sunday Morning" on CBS.
The show always ends with a minute or two of a beautiful scenic nature video. It might be a forest on a rainy day or a gentle flowing stream, but there is always this soothing video of the world around us.
Apparently, these videos used to be longer. My dad can recount, from his childhood, watching some 10 minutes of just a babbling brook to start his Sunday off right.
I wanted to share a bit of the world with you, my own little "Sunday Morning" experience. If you ever need a few minutes to relax and slow down, there is nothing better than the surf breaking just offshore. And when you can't have your toes in the sand listening to the surf the next best thing would be videos like this:
So take a few minutes of your day. Breathe. Relax. Watch the sunrise and hear the ebb and tide of the ocean.
I hope it's as wonderful an experience for you as it is for me.
