It all started with Joelle Fletcher's 2016 season- except I watched it in 2018. Then I skipped to "The Bachelor" Season 23 with Colton Underwood and now here I am watching Hannah Bama searching for the love of her life. In this time frame, I've basically become the unofficial spokesperson of "The Bachelorette."
1. The female empowerment.
When you find out one of your guys are lying about being ready to get engaged.
GiphyI love it because of the female empowerment. You have multiple guys awning for you and YOU call the shots honey.
2. Looking at all these mostly attractive men.
Luke Parker right before he publicly confessed his love for Hannah, after only knowing her for 48 hours.
GiphyNot only does Hannah have all these men making goo-goo eyes over her, but most of them are actually good looking guys! There are such a variety of personalities too. Which eventually gets even more interesting when personalities start to clash.
3. Everyone is delusional.
That moment when you realize everyone on this show is taking everything seriously.
GiphyEveryone is dating the same person. Flashback to Colton's season when Elyse left because she wanted Colton to herself but then realized that's not how this all works. For Hannah's season, my money is on Luke Parker to be the next Elyse.
4. I love all the drama.
When you're a psychopath and silently plan your next victims murder.
GiphyThe amount of drama that transpires is hilarious. Have you ever seen a bunch of guys act petty towards each other? I mean A BUNCH of guys. Rose ceremonies, time cutting, date crashing, etc. I am totally judging every single person on that show at every moment. I'm reading into those nonverbal cues too.
5. The undertones of true love.
Chris Harrison, the host we all learn to love.
GiphyThere are still undertones of true love. You're watching people organically fall for each other. The ones that are there for the right reasons can't fake those feelings no matter how much editing or production happens.
6. It's like solving a mystery.
GiphyWho will go home next? Who will Hannah fall for? Who is here for the right reasons; the wrong reasons? Will they accept the rose?
It took me a second to accept the idea of getting engaged after everything until I realized Hannah is dating to eventually get married. If she chooses to get to know you more and can see a life with you she's, of course, going to choose you. Putting a ring on it is essentially a promise ring. It's like promising your current girlfriend to be faithful to her. You can literally break up at any point. The point of the show, in my opinion, is to meet amazing people you otherwise would not have had the chance to.
Don't knock it until you try it! Watch the first THREE episodes of this season's "The Bachelorette" then get back to me.
