6 Reasons Why You Should Watch "Boy Meets World"
Odyssey

If you have never watched the hit TV show of the '90s "Boy Meets World," you are missing out. The show follows the main star, Cory Matthews, as he grows up, and includes all the struggles and events that come with it. This show teaches you about relationships between friends, boyfriends/girlfriends, parents, and maybe even neighbors that are also your teachers. "Boy Meets World' has given me lots of laughs, and by the end of every episode you learn something, even if it is the smallest thing. In my opinion, within every episode is a life lesson, some big and some small. This show took actual tween and teen problems and explained and solved them. You got the chance to follow Cory and the rest of the gang from middle school to college, and you saw how they handled life. Now, Cory Matthews wasn't the only focus on the show — he had many people in his life who helped him become an adult. His rebel of a best friend Shawn, his girlfriend Topanga, his teacher/neighbor/mentor Mr. Feeny, his great parents Alan and Amy and his hilarious brother Eric.

Here are some reasons you need to watch this series:

1. BFFs Cory and Shawn's bromance for life

They've had each others' backs since way back when. They've grown together and have never split apart. These two boys have gotten into lots of trouble, fell in love a couple of times (especially Shawn). They've had some fights, but they will always be best friends. It will brighten your day hearing these two have hilarious conversations or watching them do their famous handshake/dance in the Matthew's kitchen.

2. The "Feeny Call"

If you're a "Boy Meets World" fan, you know what I'm talking about. The "Feeny Call" invented by the big brother Eric Matthews. You really can't help but laugh when he does it, it's a classic.

3. Topanga

She was a little different in middle school, but her beauty and independence inspired many. Always stating her opinion, she is a cool and overall fun girl to have as a role model.

4. Cory in class

You'll always get a laugh out of this guy in class, whether it's a joke about Minkus or a smart comment to teacher Mr. Feeny.

5. Mr. Feeny's words of wisdom

He is neighbors with the Matthews, the kids' teacher in middle school, the principal in high school and worked at their college — he is Mr. Feeny. Many times, the kids and sometimes parents would go to him for advice. He is an old soul who has very wise words to tell. At the end, he was always right. He has taught this show's audience many life lessons.

6. Cory and Topanga's relationship

It all started when she kissed him while he was handcuffed to the lockers in middle school. The show showed the audience what a real relationship is like, and Cory and Topanga were the perfect match for it .

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
