Being a woman, I already go through the daily stress of social standards. But come on, fashion designers, why can't I have bigger pockets while still wearing trendy clothes? Even in boyfriend jeans, the pockets barely fit my tiny iPhone 5! And finding a dress with pockets is practically impossible.
I conducted an experiment to see how much bigger my boyfriend's jean's pocket is compared to mine. In his right front pocket, I was able to put my phone, his iPhone 6s Plus, my Nintendo DS, his wallet, and 3 lighters. In my pocket, I was able to fit my phone and 1 lighter (barely).
This is ridiculous. Pockets being too small cause women to put their belongings in a purse, which is usually too big for our own good. Digging through our purses allow us to lose focus on our surroundings (since we're such large targets for attacks, which is a rant for another day....). Like, just give me some space to hold my phone, keys, wallet, and lipstick, please.
Enough of those bras-with-pockets and garter-purses. Make fashionable items with big pockets is all I ask.
