WANTED: A Cute Formal Date

The dreaded search for a formal date has finally began. As much as we all love to get dressed up in something too short, take a ridiculous number of photos with our Greek family and just drink way too much; finding someone to do that with, to be our companion and partner in crime can sometimes be stressful. Formal is right around the corner and for the girls without boyfriends it’s time to decide who you actually want to conquer (or fail) formal with. It takes a special kind of person to be a formal date. They have to be fine with not knowing anyone at the pre game, riding an old bus to the venue and overall making sure you make it home alive. The options for a date are endless (or limited), you just need to decide who will dance badly with you and care less who sees. Find the best date for you and here are some possible options.

Your Crush.

Why wouldn’t you want to take the cute guy from your Econ class? If you are a carefree, easygoing person then why not just take a risk and ask him? If he says no then oh well, bring one of the other options below. At least you took a risk; he probably couldn’t keep up with you anyway. Or if you just started talking to a new guy formal is the perfect opportunity to see if what you have is actually real. Formal night is the time you are going to be your complete crazy, drunken self with all your sisters and let loose, if he can deal with that then he's a keeper.

Your Best Friend.

Probably the easiest way to have a carefree formal night is to take your best friend. Whether she goes to your college or not you know she’s going to show up for you no matter what and be the best damn formal date there ever was. She’ll be cuter than any awkward guy would be in all the photos you take anyway and will dance poorly with you in the corner or bathroom with no shame. Most importantly you already know she’d be a great time because she’s your best friend.

Your Best Guy Friend.

As much as he does not want to be dragged to another one of your formals he’s always your go to man. You’re good enough friends for him to know your drinking limits and for him to mentally prepare himself for your bad dancing because he knows you suck but love to do it anyway. He's already friends with your sisters and won't judge how you look after the dance so he's the real MVP.

Blind Date.

Your big loves you and wants the best for you right? So why not have her set you up with one of her guy friends. I’m sure she’d love to play matchmaker for a night and it’s a way for you to make a new friend as well. The guy will have to have some type of attractive quality if your big is friends with him or he'll probably just be that great of a time which is the most important thing in the end anyway.

Whoever you decide to bring to your formal just remember you only get a few of them  in your college career so don't stress and make them memorable. Also my big and I still need dates to spring formal so this would be the time for you volleyball boys to show up on our doorstep with flowers...just saying.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
