Yes, this is a cheesy title, but it is also the season where everyone is a little bit extra cheesy and nice.
This holiday season, I will not be spending it with my family. I have to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but I am not too upset about it. I work in a hospital and care for multiple patients. All I can think about it how unfair it is for someone to spend the holiday season in the hospital. All I want to do is spend time and bring them Christmas cheer because what they’re going through honestly sucks.
Of course I want to spend time with my family on Christmas, but I am sure the people in the hospital do too. I will be able to see my family on Christmas night and spend Christmas eve with my roommate, but it isn’t the same. It will, however, all be worth it in the end. When you think about your holiday celebration, think about how grateful you are to be surrounded by your friends and family. Think about how you get to open up presents in the morning and see what your family members have been up to lately. Think about how there are other people out there that probably cannot experience the Christmas joy like you can.
There are thousands of people in this world that struggle every day that even Christmas is just another day for them. All I ask for this Christmas season is for you to be thankful and enjoy what you have because most people cannot experience that love and joy. All they want for Christmas is family, friends, food, home, and warm clothes.
All I want for Christmas is joy, happiness, and love. It is a season to be considerate and not selfish. Do not take what you have now for granted because you never know when that moment will end forever. Also, there are others out there who would love to have your spot this holiday season.
Merry Christmas everyone and don’t forget to be thankful!
