Wanderlust: Do You Have It?
Meredith Pollock

Wanderlust is the intense desire to travel. If you have it, these are symptoms that may be experienced:

Never wanting to stay in one place

Yes, annual trips to the same place are fun, but what is even better are annual trips to different places! A person suffering from wanderlust is never truly satisfied by staying in one place. The world is so big and full of amazing places! Why limit yourself to just a few?

Freaking out when someone says they hate to travel

This one makes my jaw drop. When people say they hate to travel, those affected by wanderlust are flabbergasted. How could you hate to travel?! Yes sometimes planes, trains, and automobiles can be boring and seem tedious, but the destination is so worth it!

Having a bucket list that is only filled with destinations

Whether it is a Pinterest board or their own personal photo collection, those with wanderlust either spend their time reminiscing about past trips or daydreaming about future ones. Either way, they are mentally planning a trip.

Talking about travel nonstop

While travel is a great subject to use as an icebreaker, wanderlust-filled people need to be wary that others may not share as much passion as they do. If you notice that you are basically having a one-sided conversation, maybe switch the topic to something like food!

Though being full of wanderlust can seem like torture because you aren’t able to travel at the moment, the happiness you experience when you finally travel is worth the wait.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
