Walt Disney World Will Always Be My Favorite Vacation Despite My Age

No matter how old you are, you are never too old for Disney!

Walt Disney World Will Always Be My Favorite Vacation Despite My Age

Growing up, most of my family vacations were in sunny Florida and included at least a few days at the most magical place on Earth. Now that I'm grown, it's crazy to think I get even more excited planning trips to WDW. Here's why that's never going to change.

As a child, nothing compared to the excitement of waking up bright and early to head to the airport knowing that by the end of the day I would be surrounded by Disney magic. I would get starstruck waiting in line to meet my favorite princesses, spend hours in "The Sea" so I could participate in countless shows of "Turtle Talk With Crush," and sing the "Enchanted Tiki Room" theme song on repeat until it didn't sound like words anymore.

As I got older my interests changed, but my enthusiasm about going to Disney World did not. Every trip was a journey. Each vacation I looked forward to being tall enough for new rides and exploring new adventures. Disney is completely magical in the sense that it can cater to every child's age and even all adults of different ages.

Now each vacation is special in a different way. I love being able to recall past visits and reflect on the memories my family had made. My favorite flashback is always when I was little I would go with my dad to the food court of our Disney resort to get breakfast for the family; now when I go I love making that walk in the cool Florida morning air even if it's alone simply because it reminds me of spending that time with my father in our pajamas before a fun day.

While I may not be old enough to state that no matter your age Walt Disney World is the best vacation, I am confident it will always be. As a child, you see the magic, but as you get older it's even better- you see the magic..and the memories. Almost every moment I have had in Disney World my parents witnessed. They were behind me taking it all in because to them I was the magic. The best memories I have are the ones I don't even remember, but make my parents smile and laugh every time they share the stories.

Walt Disney World will always hold a special place in my heart and something I can't wait to share with my own family one day, but for now, I'll just look forward to planning my next trip!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
