I should probably start out by stating that I am not a feminist, and I am okay with that. I am also okay with people standing up for what they believe in. The only issue that I have come across with lately is the inequality behind people stating their own opinions. If you want to get involved in a protest, go ahead, but it needs to be understood that it is okay for people to not be on the same page as you.

Furthermore, I have recently seen on the news that the Wall Street Bull statue has received a neighbor named 'The Fearless Girl,' and I am all for it. I am not all for it because of the heightened fight between women’s rights at the moment, but I am because everyone should be able to stand up to a bull. No matter the age, the gender, the issue, we are all strong enough to take down the toughest bull that we come across in our life.

I am also for it being a little girl because there is no better way to symbolize a fight than with a masculine, strong bull and a little girl who is seemingly vunerable. This statue should not be a symbol for a girl fighting a guy. This statue should be a symbol for the equality of any person fighting any battle the way that they want to. Democrat, Republican, Independent, female or male, we all fight daily issues. If that issue has the strength of the bull, you fight it with the confidence that you build in your own soul, not because it is against someone that you do not particularly like for their beliefs.

Yes, I understand that many people are worried about the inequality between women and men. But I am only wanting to shape the view of this statute before it might be taken down next week. If it does get taken down, it should not be a thought that it is against women. If the statue stays there, it should not be a thought that it is against the power of Wall Street.

'The Fearless Girl' statue should be thought of as an incredible movement in our society today. Not for any particular

type of right, but for the power of hope within our hearts, our jobs, and our nation.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
