Walkney Drops New Single

The weekend anthem that everyone has been waiting for.

This past year has been huge for Walkney, a rock/alternative band from Altoona, Pa. They headlined a show at the Jaffa Shrine, jumped on two back to back tours, and released two singles plus a music video. When I sat and talked with frontman Derek Mrdjenovich and drummer Aaron Porta back in July, the boys said that fans should keep their ears open for some new music and they weren't lying. On Friday, November 11 the band dropped their newest single "Airplanes".

The single premiered on Idobi Radio's website and since then it has created quite a buzz. With over 1,000 plays, "Airplanes" has new and old fans raving about the self-produced single to all of their friends. Take it from me, this song will have you dancing for days. With its energetic beat and catchy lyrics "Airplanes" is bound to be everyone's weekend anthem.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
