Learning when to know it is a good time to walk away can be very hard. Sometimes it takes forever to realize that you're better off without either a negative person, a bad relationship, or anything in that context. Here are some examples of situations that should be left behind and you should walk away.

1: A bad relationship

If there is abuse within a relationship and you can not find any good reasons as to why you should stay, leave. It may sting for a while, but there is someone better out there that won't have to make you think why you are with them.

2: Bad friends

It's a true statement when people say, "friends come and go." Sometimes you may be lucky and find a life long friend, but now and days that is very rare. Many people now are fake and turn their back on the ones who were there for them all along. Occasionally in friend groups, if there is a conflict between you and a friend, that friend is most likely going to listen to the other friends that they call fake.If this happens, you don't need them and let them go.

3: Fights

Text message/ social media fights are the worst! Always let it go and leave it alone! Misunderstanding is such a big issue when it comes to this. You could mean something one way and then the other person could totally take it the wrong way and make it into something that it's not. Alway try and talk things out in person!

4: Work related problems

If you have either a boss that doesn't treat you well or other employees don't treat you well, don't put up with it. There are so many other opportunities out there and usually, there is more than one location for companies. If you don't feel welcomed or happy in a workplace, transfer, or find somewhere new.

5: Class group projects

Similar to the work related problems if people don't treat you well and let you do all the work, but the expect credit, don't do it. Do not put their names on the project, tell your professor. Ask if you can either change groups or work alone, never settle.

As I get older and have to learn how to deal with situations like these, I've learned it is best to just get rid of those negative things/ people in your life. They most likely will just hold you back and do nothing good for you! It is okay to let go and move on.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
