10 Thought Provoking 'Walk the Moon' Lyrics

In This Article:

Walk the Moon is one of my favorite bands, so here are 10 thought-provoking and inspiring lyrics from their songs!

1. "I am my own sanctuary, I am my own hero" - All I Want

Giphy

There's something empowering about knowing that you don't need anyone to save you and that wherever you go, you'll always be your own home.

2. "We are the kids that you never can kill" - We Are the Kids

Giphy

No one can ever kill our spirit; we are the youth of today who refuse to have our voices silenced.

3. "I won't let you let you bring me back, bring me back down in the dumps" - Down in the Dumps

Giphy

There is nothing selfish about making your personal happiness your first priority. This song is a proclamation that no one should be able to instill such negative feelings onto you.

4. "We got no money but we got h-heart, we're gonna rattle this ghost town" - Anna Sun

Giphy

A vibrant spirit is by far a more powerful currency than cash.

5. "Different colors, we carry each other" - Different Colors

Giphy

Let our unique qualities as individuals be used to support our fellow human beings. It's important to realize that there is strength in the differences we all possess because it enables us to complement each other.

6. "I got your back if you've got mine, one foot in front of the other" - One Foot

Giphy

An ode to the classic tenant of friendship.

7. "Maybe it's not an ending, maybe it's a beginning" - Press Restart

Giphy

There's something bittersweet about endings, but ultimately they mark the start of something that will lend to its own lessons and experiences.

8. "What you don't know now, one day you'll learn, growing up in a heavy leaf to turn" - Portugal

Giphy

During my high school graduation, as I confronted the reality of being a real adult, I found that "adulting" is both terrifying and thrilling. We all grow up and leave people who have impacted us so deeply, but just because they aren't there physically, they'll always be there to support us at the big milestones.

9. "If all that I could ever be, was the best ex-lover of your life" - Surrender

Giphy

Reminiscing about past partners and who we are now to each other.

10. "Why don't you stay shotgun until the day I die" - Next In Line

Giphy

We're all trying to find our lifelong road trip buddy and loyal passenger.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated.
