Wake Up, It's Game Day

Football season is the best season.

Wake Up, It's Game Day

The start of fall, in my mind, is the beginning of football season. It is no secret that football is my favorite sport. It's also no secret that I'm a Florida fan. But honestly, it doesn't matter who is playing, I will want to watch the game. I will yell at the television. I will over react to bad calls. It's just a part of who I am.

It doesn't matter who you are, or who you cheer for, football is something that we have in common. Some of my best memories are in my Florida jersey, either at a game surrounded by other fans or in front of the TV yelling to the point of losing my voice. (If you're a fan of any other team, you probably have similar experiences.)

Everyone seems to have stories about either a game they went to, or things they recall from a game they watched. I've heard many hilarious tailgating stories. I've personally got a couple of funny stories from going to away games.

The people who go to games are so wonderful. Crazy fans just create an amazing atmosphere. There are different traditions at different stadiums. It's just quirky little things that makes everything about the sport amazing.

Something about college football really brings out the rivalries in people. You can talk about pro teams, you can talk about other sports, but football just brings it out of everyone. Fans of certain colleges truly run deep. Rivalries aren't just for different colleges though, some conferences hate others as well. (If I had a dollar for every time I've heard SEC bias in the past week, I'd be rich.)

To all my other football lovers, the season has officially begun. Lets make the most of it.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
