Wait For The Guy Who...

Don't settle and don't lower your standards. You deserve the best.

Wait For The Guy Who...

Sometimes you just have to accept the things that you can't change. You have to realize that you can't make someone see your value or appreciate you for all the great things you have to offer. The boy that walked away, he wasn’t right for you; he didn’t see your worth. But the right guy will be so thankful that boy didn’t. This guy will go above and beyond to show you what you deserve.

Wait for the guy who never fails to make you smile.

The guy that knows how to make you smile when you are having a horrible day. The guy who knows what stupid jokes to tell you that will make you smirk. The guy who will always try to make you smile or laugh when you are going through tough times.

Wait for the guy that supports you.

The guy who will push you to reach your dreams and goals. The guy who will encourage you when you feel like giving up and the guy who will motivate you to pursue those dreams and goals. The guy that will support you through all of it.

Wait for the guy that respects you.

Not just the guy that opens doors for you and pays for dinner, but the guy who respects you and the choices you make.

Wait for the guy who looks at you “that way.”

Words aren’t always everything. You deserve a guy who looks at you like you are the only person on earth. His eyes should tell you that there is no place he would rather be, no one he would rather be with, and that he is proud to have someone as amazing as you in his life.

Wait for the guy who puts in effort.

Wait for the guy who makes you a priority in his life. Wait for the guy who knows words don’t mean anything without the actions to back them up, so he’ll always put you first as a way to prove that he cares.

Wait for the guy that doesn't take you for granted.

A guy who can’t believe his luck at ending up with a girl like you will always remember to appreciate what he has. He’s motivated to keep you happy so you’ll want to stick around, so you won’t find him cancelling plans for no reason or acting like he’d be just fine if you weren’t around.

Wait for the guy you can tell anything and everything to.

You deserve a guy that you can talk to about anything and everything. You deserve someone you can trust enough to not be afraid to say what you're feeling.

The boy that you have to settle for is the wrong guy. And one day you’ll laugh, with the guy that is just right for you, at how much you let this matter. But for now, just realize that you are worth a man pursuing you the right way. Have the courage to wait for that, the right guy will be so thankful you did. Wait for that guy because you deserve it.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
