Hollywood: Here Are 5 Badass Asian Women You Could Have Casted Instead

Hollywood: Here Are 5 Badass Asian Women You Could Have Casted Instead

The excuses for unnatural, uncalled for, and unrepresentative casting in the present-day film industry are being diminished by an acrimonious population, finally.

Facading a whole culture just to make a satisfying overview to media with a marketable, white, actress is not negligent and often ends in offensive feedback (rightfully so). Imagine discovering a plot for a new film that includes a nonnative role, in this particular case, Asian/Asian-American descent.

Yes! Finally, a part of my heritage! A character I might relate too! Just to have that one decent, halfway hearten, thought shattered in your brain by Emma Stone getting another role ... and Scarlett Johansson ... and Tilda Swinton ... even though none of the above qualifies for being even slightly Asian.

I’m talking in the two percentile. My adoration for these ladies runs deep, don’t misjudge my adoration. But, they have no right to represent the Asian ethnicity. Scarlett Johansson, in the above picture, is playing a role in a production "Tokyo Ghoul." Tokyo is in the title, I don't think it could be any more simplified.

Most marvel fans understand Tilda Swinton’s character in 2016's "Doctor Strange" is an older Asian man, and Emma Stone’s persona in "Aloha" speaks out numerous times on her Hawaiian and Asian legacy (which is exactly what my DNA is composed of, and I don’t look like Emma Stone).

To Hollywood: Here are five badass women who you could have casted instead and your masterpiece movie would have been of equal, or even greater, value. (Thanks to the idea that they are in fact, the correct way a person should look when from Asia.)

1. Chloe Bennet

At 24, she's maintaining a constant, strong lead role in Marvel’s "Agents of Shield." Chloe Bennett is not only bilingual (English and Mandarin), but also spent a majority of her life pursuing a career in China, as her father is Chinese-American.

2) Shay Mitchell

Of Filipino descent, Shay is most commonly known in her role as Emily on ABC'S "Pretty Little Liars." She has openly started a charity against sex trafficking and has worked along side The Trevor Project.

3) Vanessa Hudgens

With her Mother being a native of Manila, Philippines, Hudgens has supplied a wide range of entertainment in her career from Theater work to albums to raising funds for National Forest organizations.

4) Ming-Na Wen

The short-lived NBC show 'Inconceivable' was of the few American television show's with an Asian-American lead. Ming-Na Wen has set the standard high for any actress, staring in Disney's 'Mulan' and Marvel's 'Agent's of Shield'. Not even considering her Awards and black belt.

5) Kimee Balmilero

Do I have to justify her after Kill Bill?
