Ah waffles. You delicious hunk of bread that warms my heart with glee. How I love you so. You started intriguing my heart and my sweet tooth at a young age like you do with anyone. Everyone loves you, but as an adult, you mean so much more. Here are just some of the reasons I love you!

1. You rise above "average".

Look at you. You aren't flat and boring like pancakes. You don't taste eggy like french toast. No.You are the epitome of creativity. Although your shape stays mostly the same, you have the potential for greatness in any shape. You could be the shape of a school logo, look like a keyboard, look Mickey Mouse, and so much more! You inspire me to continue to be more creative and innovative. Keep working hard Waffles.

2. You have many layers.

Not only is your personality creative, but you are deep as well. You aren't just surface level anymore. No. You could be waffles, Nutella, waffles. You could be waffles, peanut butter, waffles. You keep me on my toes because I don't know what you could be next! You're so interesting!

3. You're not just for breakfast anymore.

Times are changing my friend and you move with them. You're not just a delicious breakfast food, but a lunch, dinner AND snack item. Chicken and waffles, late night waffles, breakfast for dinner, and my favorite idea...PIZZA WAFFLES. Wow...slow down! I'm in love!

4. Healthy or unhealthy, the choice is mine.

Guess what? Times have moved on from making waffles from a mix, oil, and eggs. Oh no, I can make you from scratch and go even further by instead of using egg, I can use FLAX SEED. That's right waffles, I can make you HEALTHY. Or...I grab every jar of Nutella and peanut butter and ice cream I have. What's my obsession with Nutella again? Oh well...anyway the choice is MINE! You can be the healthiest thing I have eaten...or not! I love options!!

5. Leslie Knope is your friend therefore Leslie Knope is my friend.

Enough said there.

6. You can hold many things.

Syrup. Strawberries. Chocolate chips. Those peanut butter chips from Waffles House. Do you even lift bro?

7. You satisfy my late night carb craving via the best place on earth, Waffle House.

Ah Waffle House. The vacation home of waffles. Most people don't turn down an offer like "let's go to Waffle House" in the late hours of the evening, or the weird in between times of the afternoon. Post trip is always followed by a nap. Perfection.

8. You motivate night owls to come to your house at 8 am.

I once had to have my small group bible study come over to my house at 8 AM because that was the only time it worked in their schedule. Not surprisingly, making waffles and coffee every week motivated them to come. Thanks, Waffles!

9. You melt cold hearts.

Maybe Elsa could've prevented freezing all of Arendelle/healing her sister's frozen heart sooner if she knew that. Science?

10. You Bring People Together.

Last but not least, is my favorite thing about you. You bring people together. A few years ago my friends introduced me to the concept of "waffle night". This is a night in the middle of the week where you make waffles, and bring people over to eat them and hang out for a chill evening for an hour or two. No craziness, just waffles. And that my friend, the friendship and the memories you create, is the most important and awesome thing about you. So thank you! :

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
